Momma, I have been there too..
I felt weak, out of breath, squishy and anxious to get back to lifting heavy and being FIT again too.
I remember a specific moment when I was on a walk with my daughter. I was only a few days postpartum, and I could hardly walk around my neighborhood and then 4 weeks later when I started lifting with the barbell it felt so heavy and hard.
I couldn’t grasp how after YEARS of lifting 200-300+ lbs and being SO active and SO strong in pregnancy, that I could feel so weak and vulnerable just a few days to weeks postpartum. I was not prepared for that, and it was part of the reason why I struggled so much after having my daughter.
So much of who I identify as is in being strong & fit (and I know this is you too) so I am sure you can imagine how defeating it felt when I struggled to walk around the block a few days postpartum and lift the barbell a few weeks later.
But, I had a plan to rehab & retrain my body so I could get back to being strong, lifting heavy & feeling like me again.
And so I put myself through the rehab and rebuilding process and not only did I get strong again, I also found a new appreciation for lifting, created a new identity and new goals in lifting that fit my current phase of life.
That is when I developed my signature three-part process on how to return to strength training postpartum and I am so excited to share it with you!
