Momma, I have been there too..
 That feeling of weakness, being out of breath, the "squishy" sensation, and the anxiety to get back to lifting and feeling like yourself again – I know it well. I vividly remember a walk with my daughter just days after giving birth, barely able to manage a stroll around the block because of my pelvic floor symptoms. Then later when trying to lift the barbell, it felt unbelievably heavy and hard.
I couldn’t grasp how after YEARS of lifting and being active and strong in pregnancy, that I could feel so weak and vulnerable just a few days to weeks postpartum. I wasn't prepared for that vulnerability, and it significantly contributed to my postpartum struggles.
So much of my identity is tied to being strong and fit (and I know it is for you too), so you can imagine how defeating it felt to struggle with a short walk and then lifting things that used to feel so easy.
But I had a plan to rehab and retrain my body to get back to being strong, lifting heavy, and feeling like myself again. I went through that rebuilding process, and not only did I regain my strength, but I also found a new appreciation for lifting, creating a new identity and new goals that fit this phase of my life.
